Blizzard to Freeze 45 Million in Place, Driving Prohibited in NYC

snowstormThe most-populated states of the Northeast are essentially ordering all residents to shelter in place ahead of more than 20 inches of snowfall beginning tonight. Connecticut will ban travel after 9 p.m.; Massachusetts will ban travel at midnight. New York’s state-controlled highways will close at 10 p.m.

Driving non-essential vehicles will be prohibited in New York City after 11 p.m. (and the mayor says you’ll be arrested if you try it).

The subway system will run limited service after 7 p.m.

The Metro-North and Long Island railroads, the busiest commuter rail lines in the country, will suspend service after 11 p.m.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency and ordered the early closing of state offices. New Jersey transit will suspend activity until Thursday. Read more at The New York Times.

    Really?!

    And here the media told us that there was a ticket “slow down”. If the cops are not giving tickets, why should one be nervous about being “arrested”? What about those returning from a Chasuna?

  2. Are u crazy? Don’t stay at the chasuna too late. I’m sure the bride and groom will understand. Your life/safety is more important!

  3. cause the cops restarted giving out lots of tickets due to the shortage of money…

    my friend got a seatbelt ticket yesterday on the 440 even though everything was safe.
