bloombergNew York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has rewarded three Republican New York state senators who voted for same-gender marriage with hefty campaign contributions.

Bloomberg gave Senators Mark Grisanti, Roy McDonald and Stephen Saland each the maximum campaign donation allowed – a hefty $10,300.

The mayor had previously promised the money if the senators helped him out and voted along with the majority of Democrats to support same-gender marriages.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Bloomberg aide Micah Lasher said, “The mayor said he would support Senate Republicans who stood up – and he did.”

The paper discovered the donations after Mr Grisanti filed a financial disclosure agreement.

THE LAW IS THE LAW: CUOMO HITS OUT AT QUIT JUDGE

Governor Andrew Cuomo has hit out at a judge who quit her post rather than consent to same-gender marriages.

He said: ‘The law is the law. When you enforce the laws of the state, you don’t get pick and choose which laws.

‘You don’t get to say, ‘I like this law, I’ll enforce this law.’

‘I don’t like this law, I won’t enforce this law.

‘So if you can’t enforce the law, then you shouldn’t be in that position.’

Mayor Bloomberg has already officiated in two same-gender weddings in Albany.

Speaking to the News, Mr Alesi said: ‘It was a very nice gesture.’

The news comes as a town clerk in up state New York said she would resign over her religious opposition to same-gender marriage.

Laura Fotusky resigned Monday, saying her religious beliefs prevent her from signing a marriage certificate for a same-gender couple – something she’d be required to do as a municipal clerk.

The 56-year-old Republican has served since 2007.

She says she’ll step down on July 21, three days before New York becomes the sixth and largest state to allow same-gender nuptials.

  1. Bloomberg is a Rasha Merusha of the worst kind! Bloombergs disgusting actions which led to same gender marriage becoming law in N.Y., is the direct reason Levi Aaron, yemach shemo vizichro, murdered Lieby Kletzky

  2. This is excellent! Maybe we can get the law invalidated in Federal court or U.S. Supreme Court on the basis of the allegation of bribery?

I hadn’t even read this sentence. This is bribery, plain and simple.

  5. “the direct reason Levi Aaron, yemach shemo vizichro, murdered Lieby Kletzky”

No, the direct reason Levi Aaron murdered Leiby Kletzky is that Levi Aaron murdered Leiby Kletzky. I hope that his defense attorney doesn’t adopt your suggestion for his defense.

All who have voted for or endorsed these menuvalim, look in the mirror for the answer. ???? ????? ???? ??? ???? ?? ???? ??? ??? ??????.

  7. Please #2 don’t play judge and jury. There is no connection between the despicable murderer Levi Aron and Mr. Bloomberg’s petitioning for same gender marriage. I agree that Mr. Bloomberg did a horrible thing against Torah by voting and encouraging others to vote for same gender marriage.
In any case, Leiby is/was an innocent child who fell prey to the hands of a monster. Nothing less. Nothing more.

  8. #2 Its so true. “lo sinof” brings “lo sirtzach”. And people should know democrats are the worst!!! And if we vote for them that’s what happens
