New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he wishes the Obama administration would make a decision about where to hold the trial of the Sept. 11 suspects. Bloomberg said on his radio show today that the decision is not going to get any easier.Attorney General Eric Holder announced last year that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the professed mastermind of the Sept. 11 attack, would be tried in federal court in New York City along with four other alleged co-conspirators.
Bloomberg initially supported the idea, but said this year that it would be too expensive and disruptive for New Yorkers.
The White House has said it is considering other options. But Holder said this week that New York City is still not off the table.
