BMG Second Annual Shabbos of Chizuk in the Five Towns

rav-malkiel-kotlerBeth Medrash Govoha of Lakewood will be holding its second annual “Shabbos of Chizuk” in the Far Rockaway/Five Towns community this Shabbos, Parshas Terumah. Participating will be the Lakewood roshei yeshiva, Harav Malkiel Kotler, Harav Yeruchem Olshin and Harav Dovid Schustal, and the mashgiach, Harav Matisyahu Salomon, all of whom will spend Shabbos in the community and speak at neighboring shuls and botei midrash. The event will culminate tomorrow night at a community melava malkah at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Edelman, replete with food, music, and zemiros.

“The good feelings kindled last year have certainly lent tremendous momentum to this year’s planning,” notes Rabbi Mordechai Hershkowitz, Beth Medrash Govoha’s executive administrator. “This is a community with a strong kesher to the yeshiva, graced with true kavod haTorah and the kind of achdus that enables it to work diligently together l’shem Shomayim. Their warm expression of friendship and support uplifts us one and all.”

With a current enrollment of 5,600, Beth Medrash Govoha continues to be a primary destination for promising talmidei chachomim from throughout Klal Yisroel.
