Bnei Brak’s population broke the 200,000 ceiling in November and now numbers 200,162 versus 197,913 only six months ago.

The average Bnei Brak family has 4.8 people, the highest rate for Israel’s large and average cities. 71,398 people in Bnei Brak are below age twelve, while there are only 48,416 between the ages 22 to 40.

Ninety-three years ago, the city was planned for only 10,000 inhabitants; now it is making plans for a population of 230,000 by 2020.
