Bnei Brak is gearing up for the long process of electing a new city rov due to the expected retirement of its incumbent rov, Rav Shlomo Korach, who is 80 years old.

The favored candidate of Rav Chaim Kanievsky, Rav Shimon Badani of the Shas Moetzes and a number of chassidish rebbes is Rav Shmuel Tzabari, author of Sefer Hashitos and head of the Darchei Ish institutions, over which Rav Chaim presides as nosi.
