While speaking to the press on Friday, Speaker of the House John Boehner lashed out at President Obama for issuing executive orders on immigration.
“We will not stand idle as the president undermines the rule of law and places lives at risk,” he declared.
Boehner also claimed that with his actions, Obama had “deliberately sabotaged” any shot at comprehensive immigration reform, and that he was acting “like a king.” The Speaker then said Obama was “damaging the presidency.”
“We have a broken immigration system and the American people expect us to work together to fix it and we ought to do that through the democratic process,” he concluded. Read more at NPR.
