hikind-greenfieldAssemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) is calling on his constituents to call his office at 718.853.9616 and report whether their streets have been plowed or not. Mayor Bloomberg and Commissioner Doherty had pledged to have all streets cleaned by 7:00 am this morning only to have many people wake up with nothing done last night.

“I expect that we will have every street in New York City plowed. Will somebody find a street I missed? Maybe,” Mayor Bloomberg said. “This is the best Sanitation Commissioner this city has ever had,” Bloomberg said, adding the “city is lucky to have him.” “What is going on in the city of New York?” Hikind asked. “Another day, another promise broken,” Hikind said.

“This lack of service and accountability cannot go unanswered,” Hikind noted. “People’s safety comes first. We need to ensure that proper emergency response services return to normal immediately. Please let my office know if your street has not been plowed once and we will get the list to the appropriate people and get you the results you deserve.”

  1. Hikind is a supposed to represent his constituents in state government. Why is he sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong?

  2. Hikind is not a godol but you just can’t stand that he helps every yid no matter what as long as the problem is a legitmate problem and that he can be helpful.

    What is wrong with that?

Councilman Greenfield helps yidden from all over. Since when do we have guidelines and boundaries of where we help yidden and where we don’t?

  3. I’ve tried numerous times in the last 2 days (including today!) to reach Hikinds office. Nobody picks up the phone! OTL! This is achrayus?! I called Greenfields office & got thru immediatly! You decide!
