dzhokhar-tsarnaev2Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is suspected of perpetrating the Boston Marathon bombing, is hospitalized and under heavy guard. Though, according to The Associated Press, he is in too poor a condition to undergo interrogation yet.

Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick said in a press conference this afternoon that Tsarnaev is in stable but most likely unable to communicate. “I, and I think all of the law enforcement officials, are hoping for a host of reasons the suspect survives,” Patrick said. “We have a million questions, and those questions need to be answered.”

Tsarnaev was hospitalized in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the same hospital where his older brother Tamerlan was taken early Friday before passing away as well as where several victims from the marathon bombing were treated.

He was taken into custody Friday night after he was found hiding in the bottom of a boat in the yard of a Watertown home. Law enforcement believe he was first injured Thursday night in the same shootout that killed his brother and may have been injured in another shootout prior to his capture.

Both Tsarnaev and his brother are believed to have been behind the traumatic attack at the Boston Marathon which left three dead and wounded approximately 170. They are also suspected of killing an MIT security officer Wednesday night.

As of now, over 50 victims of the bombing remain hospitalized, with three still in critical condition.
