Bridgegate: Christie Ally Pleads Guilty

David Wildstein, a former top official at the Port Authority, pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy regarding the Bridgegate scandal on Friday morning. The guilty pleas mean it’s highly likely the U.S. attorney will charge Bill Baroni, a former Port Authority executive, and Bridget Anne Kelly, the ex-deputy chief of staff to Gov. Chris Christie.

The charges follow a lengthy grand jury investigation into politically motivated lane closures of the George Washington Bridge in September 2013.

The Democratic mayor of Fort Lee, New Jersey, alleges Christie people created a traffic jam as payback for his non-endorsement of the Republican governor for reelection. Read more.
