The Royal baby has arrived. And it’s a boy.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to the 8 lbs 6 oz. child this afternoon at 4:24 p.m. local time, nearly nine hours after traveling by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital thismorning. The Royal family made the announcement through a paper bulletin posted outside Buckingham Palace.
The hospital is same one at which the baby’s father, William, Duke of Cambridge, was born, as well as his brother, Prince Harry.
The first-born to Catherine and William does not have a name yet, but his title is His Royal Highness Prince (the baby’s name) of Cambridge. He will be the third in line for the throne, following Prince Charles and William.
