In the wake of a terror attack in London, British Prime Minister Theresa May is saying she wants tighter internet regulation.

The British PM argued that technology serves as a breeding ground for terrorism and extremism and that removing “safe space[s],” is necessary to give governments better ability to protect their citizens.

“We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed,” May said in remarks she delivered on Sunday. “Yet that is precisely what the internet and big companies that provide internet based services provide. We need to do everything we can at home to reduce the risks of extremism online.”

May called on democratic governments to, “reach international agreements that regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremist and terrorism planning.” Read more at The Hill.

  1. Wait what about free speech u r just a bunch of islamifobes who want to take away people’s rights so what if some bad apples murder you can’t punish everybody

  2. Brilliant! Blame inanimate objects and not actual evildoers. She doesn’t have enough guts to point the accusatory finger towards the islamonazis, so she just blames internet. Same as fascist-liberals and their obsession with guns.
