jailIf you’ve been sentenced to life in prison, then sunny California is where you want to be. Since Gov. Jerry Brown took office in January 2011, 1,400 inmates who were serving life sentences have been paroled, with Brown going along with the parole boards 82 percent of the time.

As a point of comparison, his predecessor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, oversaw the release of 557 prisoners during his six years in office and went along with the board just 27 percent of the time.

So, go for the great weather and celebrities but stay for the high probability of getting paroled.
