California Orders 28% Water Cut for Some

The California State Water Resources Board unanimously approved on Tuesday sweeping restrictions on water use, requiring residents and businesses to reduce the amount of water they consume.

Inland California will be hardest hit, with many districts in the Sacramento area required to cut usage by more than 28 percent. Though some questioned the feasibility of the plan’s broad scope, board members remained resolute.
