Justice Kennedy’s retirement anouncement reignited the possibility of a looming debate over access to abortion.

Anti-abortion groups say they see an opening for overturning Roe v. Wade if Trump nominates another conservative anti-abortion rights justice who would vote in their favor should abortion cases make it to the high court.

“Now that Justice Anthony Kennedy — a 25-year defender of abortion on the Supreme Court and the key vote to perpetuate Roe v. Wade — is retiring, we urge President Trump to nominate a committed constitutionalist to the Supreme Court who will hew to the intended meaning of the nation’s charter and refrain from employing it as a means of social engineering,” said Catherine Glenn Foster, president of Americans United for Life, a legal arm of the anti-abortion movement.

  1. Stop using the fancy word “abortion” and call it what it is: MURDER
Not only should murdering healthy babies and selling their parts be illegal but the murderers in these murder clinics who kill thousands of healthy babies should be jailed for life.

  2. Yes, I hope it’s overturned.
When I become President I will sign DOMA into law as well.
It’s high time we take our Country back.

  3. please be very careful in what you say. There are halachic cases in which the fetus is declared a rodef and could cause the death of the mother. In such cases an abortion may be necessary and I would not want anyone to have to find an illegal abortonist rather than to have it done legally in a hospital setting. I am sure there are other halachic cases that this holds true.

    • The issue is not legally cases nor halachic cases. The issue is strictly murdering babies because the mother or both parents decided not to have the baby, even though the baby is healthy and the mother is fine.

      • The SC is not going to go by any halachic definition if it overturns roe v wade.
It definitely will not go by your definition.
        Again, watch what you say.

    • Where the life of the Mother is at stake, even the most ardent Pro Life person will agree to terminate the pregnancy. That ridiculous argument is fake spin and as old as the hills. Murdering a pregnant woman? Is the murderer charged for the death of the unborn? We’ve had this case already.
