Rock attacks by Arabs have escalated over the past few days of Pesach. Today, Monday, rock attacks targeted Yidden as well as vehicles belonging to the Palestinian Authority. This morning, the fourth day of Chol Hamoed in Eretz Yisroel, large rocks and other unidentified items were hurled at a vehicle carrying Harav Moshe Shternbuch shlit”a, Rosh Av Beis Din of the Eidah Hachareidis, who travels each Pesach to daven on Har Hatzofim. In route to the mount, the barrage of rocks were thrown, seriously damaging the vehicles that were traveling together, but, boruch Hashem, not resulting in any injuries. The incident took place in the neighborhood of Abu Tor in Yerushalayim. According to sources, eyewitnesses said it appeared that the local Arabs had prepared the ambush and it was not spontaneous.
Rocks were thrown in several other locations in Yerushalayim too, in addition to attacks near Chevron and in the city of Ramla.
Rav Shternbuch has paskened that all members of the three-car caravan should bentch gomel to thank Hakadosh Boruch Hu for the fact that they emerged from the attack unscathed.
