BuzzFeed reports: Carrier Air Conditioning will not move almost 1,000 factory jobs from Indiana to Mexico, a reversal that came after company leaders met with the incoming Trump administration.
The decision was announced by the air conditioning company on Tuesday.
“We are pleased to have reached a deal with President-elect Trump &VP-elect Pence to keep close to 1,000 jobs in Indy. More details soon,” they tweeted.
Trump spoke often on the campaign trail about his plans to keep manufacturing jobs in the US. He named the Carrier move in particular as a failure of Democratic leadership. Read more at BuzzFeed.
