executive-estates[Update below.] 9:15 a.m.: Today, Masbia soup kitchen will present a Catskills Extravaganza at the development site of Executive-Estates on Route 55 at the corner of Water-Tower Road. This will give all the families in the Catskills and those in the Catskills for Shabbos Nachamu an opportunity to enjoy their day with rides and entertainment.

The event is being produced and funded fully by Executive-Estates, who are developing beautiful summer homes in Swan Lake. Being fully funded will enable all proceeds of the carnival to feed the hungry who eat at Masbia soup kitchen in Boro Park.

“This is a great example of a corporate partnership with a not-for-profit. Executive-Estates wanted to get the public to visit and learn about their new development, so they sponsored an event that will raise money to feed the hungry,” said Alexander Rapaport executive director of Masbia.

“We are very thankful to them, especially this time of the year when regular donations are scarce, this event will help us keep our doors open to feed those in need,” Rapaport added.

The Extravaganza will take place within a five minute drive from many well known camps and bungalow-colonies, including Pupa Girls Camp, Camp Machaneinu, Camp Gila, Bais Yakov, Pupa Boys Camp, Camp Aguda, Camp Tubi, Machna Karlsburg, Yeshiva Kavunas Halev, Divrei Yoel, Yeshiva Toras Chessed, Machna Noam Elimeilach, Right next to Swan Lake Villas, and around the corner of Hillcrest.

Tickets will start at one dollar and refreshments will be sold. The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Update: 12:20 p.m.: Due to inclement weather, the event today has been called off.
