candleUpdated: [Shivah info below.] Members of Camp Mareh Yechezkel in Liberty, NY, are reeling following the tragic passing last night of a three year old boy, Aharon Follman z”l, in a bungalow fire.

Aharon, a son of Rabbi and Mrs. Shlomo Avrohom Follman, passed away from smoke inhalation.

Mrs. Follman heroically managed to extricate her two other children from the bungalow after the fire broke out.

The fire is believed to have started from a clip-on fan in the master bedroom of the bungalow, a double unit that housed two families.

Hatzolah responded at about 9:50 p.m. They tried to enter the structure, but the fire was fierce and they were unable to. Numerous downed live electrical wires on the property due to the fire presented additional danger.

A New York State trooper was taken to Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris along with two of the Follman children.

Members of the Liberty and Swan Lake fire departments responded as well to the camp on Route 55.

A levaya was held early this morning at Camp Mareh Yechezkel. A second levaya was held at the Linzer Shul in Boro Park. Kevurah took place in the Bobover chelkah of the Washington Cemetery in Deans, New Jersey.

Aharon is survived by his parents, R’ Shlomo Avrohom and Mrs. Breindy Follman, and his siblings, Alter Baruch Follman and Faiga Yitty Follman.

The family is sitting shivah at 1143 45th Street, between 11th and 12th Avenues in Boro Park.

Umachah Hashem dimah mei’al kol ponim.
