The GOP’s ObamaCare replacement bill that passed the House would result in 23 million fewer people with health insurance over 10 years, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said in an analysis released Wednesday.

The total is slightly less than the CBO’s accounting of a previous version of the bill.

The bill would reduce the deficit by $119 billion over 10 years — less than the $150 billion reduction the CBO prediction in the previous version of the bill.

Overall, premiums would increase for two years before they decreased — by 20 percent in 2018 and 5 percent in 2019. After 2020, premium costs would depend on which states get waivers and how much funding they get from the proposal’s Patient and State Stability Fund. Read more at The Hill.

  1. Right. Bipartisan a hole in my head. They lied about Obama care and they most probably lie again. The only bipartisan concept in Washington is unfortunately anti trumpism.

  2. I don’t know about mythical 23 millions who are supposed to loose insurance in a same way as Al Gore’s prediction of the world flood came true a decade ago, but I do know of myself and countless other middle class millions who had a great inexpensive no-deductible insurance policies before Obama more than doubled our premiums, gave us 10k out of pocket costs, and drove doctors and insurance companies out of business. People who were poor had Medicaid even before the Obama Scam, so what was the reason to ruin everyone else’s medical coverage? – to control the population in accordance with the fascist-socialist doctrine.
