CEO: GM Working on Self-Driving Cars

General Motors CEO Marry Barra revealed the automaker is working on a self-driving car to compete alongside the likes of Apple and Google, USA Today reported on Tuesday.

Although GM has “a lot of efforts that are confidential,” Barra said the Cadillac division is developing a “Super Cruise” system and will have a fleet of self-driving, semi-electric Chevrolet Volts at one of its test facilities.

Barra also said GM’s mid-$30,000 Bolt electric sedan is expected to hit showrooms in 2017. Read more at USA Today.
