Chacham Ovadiah Undergoes Successful Pacemaker Procedure, Still in Need of Tefillos

At about 7:30 this evening, Chacham Ovadiah Yosef underwent a critical procedure after his kidneys stopped functioning. The treatment ended a half an hour later, successfully, boruch Hashem.

Chacham Ovadiah’s family expressed their desire for the tzibbur to continue davening for his recovery.

The procedure, during which a pacemaker was installed, was performed on the 93-year-old gaon and posek at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where he had been since last night, at which time he was transported there from his home in Har Nof after feeling unwell over Shabbos.

All are asked to continue davening for Rav Ovadiah ben Georgia l’refuah shleimah.
