bmg-bais-aron-yeshiva[Video and photos below.] The opening of the newest bais medrash of Beth Medrash Govoha, North America’s largest yeshiva, was marked yesterday with a large chanukas habayis for the bnei hayeshiva. Bais Medrash Bais Aron, a beautiful and large bais medrash that can seat approximately 1,000 people, is located on Tenth Street in Lakewood, NJ.

The bais medrash has been dedicated by noted Torah supporter R’ Moshe Kalter and family in memory of R’ Moshe’s father, Rav Aron ben Rav Eliyahu Yehudah Hakohen Kalter z”l. The Bais Aron bais medrash is located adjacent to BMG’s Bais Shalom Bais Medrash, also dedicated by the Kalter family in memory of Mrs. Kalter’s father, Rav Shalom ben Rav Aryeh Leibish Fogel z”l.

Yesterday’s program began at about 6 p.m. The shtenders and chairs in the bais medrash were cleared away and the program began with Tehillim, led by Rav Aharon Schustal, a rosh chaburah at the yeshiva. The assemblage heard divrei bracha and chizuk from the four roshei yeshiva of the yeshiva, Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rav Yeruchem Olshin, Rav Dovid Schustal and Rav Yisroel Neuman.

Also present were the mashgiach, Rav Matisyahu Salomon; Rav Shmuel Felder and Rav Shmuel Mayer Katz, senior poskim of BMG; Rav Zev Tikotzky, father-in-law of the rosh yeshiva, Rav Kotler; and other rabbonim.

Many of the bnei hayeshiva brought their children to the bais medrash to take part in the simcha of the opening of another makom Torah utefillah.

During the chanukas habayis, cake and soda were served for all attendees in the area between the Bais Aron and Bais Sholom buildings.

Following the drashos, there was lively singing and dancing in honor of the simcha.

Many women took part in the event as well, gathering on the second floor of the new building, in the ezrash noshim overlooking the bais medrash.

The stunning new building features a comprehensive otzar haseforim and other amenities.

  1. Foolish comment. The mashgiach is mentioned separately because he didn’t speak! The four roshei yeshiva all spoke. Use your brains.
