The rov of the Nachal Chareidi regiment of the IDF, Rav Shaul Avdiel, informed the Chareidi soldiers that to mark he shloshim of Seret-Vizhnitzer Rebbe, Rav Eliezer Hager zt”l, on Wednesday, 10 Av/August 5, the regiment will hold an “all Torah day” l’illui neshmaso. The theme of the limudim of the day will be “Torah, Holiness and War.
The day of limud will be a part of spiritual preparation of the Chareidi combatants before summer training takes place a month from now at the Tze’elim Base. During the training, the soldiers will exercise urban and outdoor warfare.
The limud day is part of a new undertaking led by regiment commander Lt.-Col. Ori Levi in which every month, a “Torah study day” is scheduled for the regiment. The limud day will feature a shiur kloli delivered by one of the rabbonim of regiment or a guest maggid shiur, in addition to regular shiurim that take place at the regiment on a daily basis.
