Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer is echoing criticism from the right that The New York Times’s recently published story on Benghazi is part of an effort to protect Hillary Clinton.
“The reason that the Times invested all the effort and time in this and put it on the front page is precisely a way to protect the Democrats, to deflect the issue, to protect Hillary,” Krauthammer said Monday on Fox News’s “Special Report.”
Krauthammer, who added that the former secretary of state was “exposed” on Benghazi in an otherwise strong tenure at the department, said the story “is obviously a political move.”
The Times story, published online this past weekend, said it had “turned up no evidence that Al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the assault” on the American diplomatic facility and that the attacks were, in fact, “fueled in large part by anger at an American-made video denigrating Islam.”
The paper’s editorial page editor, Andrew Rosenthal, defended the story Monday in a blog post, saying that criticism from Republicans is intended to “throw mud” at Clinton, “who they fear will run for president in 2016.” Krauthammer said Rosenthal’s comment “gave the game away.”

The New York Times is a rag that engages in anything but objective journalism.
The New York Times is a cheerleader for the elites. Clearly biased toward extreme left wing, the New York Times has also shown, through many previous stories of theirs, that they play fast and loose with the facts (as the left is wont to do).

You know, I am not always in the favor of supporting people that I do not think are going to make a good president, but I have recently decided that Hillary is not the excelled limitation of hope that I once took her to be. I will be interested in seeing if the future will be her resolve.
The NY Times is not a factor since Ms. Clinton has to ultimately represent herself when she gets on stage.
Krauthammer is a convalescent bass player of limited addition to public knowledge. Translation- he is not a man of any true reputation.
