Charlie Hebdo magazine will publish 1 million copies next Wednesday instead of its usual 60,000. The paper will publish after its editor-in-chief, four cartoonists, and others were killed to show that “stupidity will not win,” said columnist Patrick Pelloux. “It’s very hard. We are all suffering, with grief, with fear, but we will do it anyway because stupidity will not win,” he said.

The paper will be eight pages long instead of its usual 16. Read more at The Straits Times.

  1. While I admire the bravery, I wonder at the danger they are willing to put themselves in.
Is it really so important to publish offensive material? Are the lives of the “journalists” there worth so little?
Keep in mind that this magazine is little more than glorified laitzanus, including many things that would strongly offend the readers of matzav.

  2. Any country that prohibits residents thereof, who are non-terminally ill, from committing suicide, should also prohibit mocking extremists who have made good on their threats of vengeance against those mockers. This need not be a religious or political consideration, but simply common sense that serves to discourage further bloodshed & strife within that country’s borders.
