rav-dovid-lauSpeaking today, Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Rav David Lau said that as far as he was concerned, there was no problem employing female kashrus supervisors. Rav Lau made the statements at an annual meeting of owners of catering halls.

He’s right. You eat in all your friends’ houses and they are not supervising their wives at all.

  2. Rav Moshe zt”l has a tshuva about this in which he discusses the issue of serarra. Igros Moshe (yorah deah 2:44, 45)

If you don’t know don’t talk.

  3. There is a story in the kashuris world. Of a lady mashgieacha who called the rav hamachsher that a restaurant she was checking was not kosher. The rov was shocked because he himself was there a little while before and looked things over and did not see anything wrong. She told him that it is because she boldly goes where no man has gone before…. to the lady’s room and saw a locked door, when she asked what was in it she was told cleaning supplies, she asked them to open the door, once opened she found a second freezer with non kosher meats in it.
