Chris Christie: I’m Done Responding To Bridge Scandal “Hysteria”

chris-christie1Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., attempting to move past the George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal surrounding his administration, said Wednesday night that reporters were the only ones still concerned about the issue.

On his monthly “Ask the Governor” radio program, Christie said he wasn’t “going to give into the hysteria” or “speculate on things I don’t know about” regarding the scandal and ensuing investigation, according to PolitickerNJ.

“You folks are the only people at the moment who are asking me about this,” Christie said.

The governor’s assertions aren’t without merit: at the first town hall since the scandal, residents wanted to hear only ongoing Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts, not the lane closures. And Wednesday, at a town hall to discuss the state budget, the focus was on pensions, the state’s debt, and other monetary obligations.

  1. I am not for or against Christie, but I almost bet many politicians have done worse then he and it was not exposed. If you are so hystierial about him, why doesn’t the media look to other politicians and see what they have done against their own people.
