obama-christieSo much for the Chris Christie-President Obama tight kesher.

The New Jersey governor, distrusted by conservatives after his hug of Obama following Hurricane Sandy, slammed the president at a town hall meeting on Friday as “more concerned about being right than he is concerned about getting things done,” according to Politico, which said that Christie repeatedly described himself as a “conservative” leader.

The episode illustrates the delicate dance Christie faces as he tries to rack up a wide reelection margin in Democratic-tilting New Jersey, without further inflaming conservatives in key presidential primary states.

  1. It’s ridiculous to conjecture that Christie did wrong in his behavior after Sandy. His state was suffering astronomical losses and he, as the governor of all the people, had to do whatever it took to help his state recover. Anyone suggesting otherwise is immature and has no conceptual understanding of what it takes to run a state. I think that reception of the White House resident only proves how he could be the NATIONS president.

  2. I’m not sure who is advising Christie, but he better get his house in order if he wants to keep his chances of reelection as good as they are. For one thing when he goes from one extreme to the other in such a short time span – he was just together with Obama around 3 weeks ago strolling on some of New Jersey’s beaches enjoying each others company and here we are 3 weeks or so later and he’s blasting him for no good reason just so to distance himself from him – in my view its just going to hurt Christie more then its going to help him.

  3. Guess he now realizes he burnt his bridges with the republican and conservative voter
