chris christieNew Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says the National Security Agency’s sweeping collection of American citizens’ data is completely fine. Fears that the  government is spying on law-abiding citizens are “exaggerated and ridiculous,” he said in a foreign-policy speech in New Hampshire on Monday. “When it comes to fighting terrorism, our government is not the enemy,” he said. “And we shouldn’t listen to people like Edward Snowden, a criminal who hurt our country and now enjoys the hospitality of President Putin.”

A federal court recently ruled that the unwarranted bulk collection of phone records was illegal because what the NSA does exceeds what Congress authorized with the Patriot Act. Read more at the Newark Star-Ledger.

  1. Hes wrong. The USA is spying on its own law abiding citizens. Not on terrorists,They are spying on you and your family and the old grandmother who lives down the street from your family, and there’s people who are able to misuse information on USA citizens.Similar things happened during the holocaust. Who gets to decide if something is a law or ok for a government to do? If history repeats itself, anything can become a law in a government that people accept as ok. What about targeted individuals who are spied on and information is collected on them , look at this website https://www.freedomfchs.com/ There’s thousands of usa citizens who know that their lives are being monitored. It is not harmless because they are using the personal information against those people, and it happens to more people each day, it can be done to the rest of society.
