The CIA’s Counterterrorism Center director, who oversaw U.S. drone strikes and the capture of Osama bin Laden, will leave his role as a part of a larger reorganization effort under CIA Director John Brennan, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

The Post withheld the CTC chief’s identity, only referring to him by his first name, Mike, and CIA-created identity, Roger.

The CTC chief is expected to be reassigned while an agency veteran who has held various high-level positions–including running CIA operations in Afghanistan–will replace him. The transition, however, doesn’t mean the CIA is planning to change the direction of its counterterrorism efforts, according to current and former U.S. officials. Read more at the Washington Post.
