52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn’t deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll. 44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.
Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.
The reelection numbers are slightly more sour than Obama’s approval ratings, which are basically tied. 49 percent of people told CNN that they approve of the way Obama is handling his job, while 50 percent disapprove.
Still, the 2012 election is still a long way’s away, with this fall’s midterm elections looming large. Republicans are hoping to make inroads into Congress, while Democrats are hoping to hold onto gains won in the 2006 and 2008 cycles.
Respondents to CNN were split at 46 percent as to whether they preferred a generic Republican or Democratic candidate in this fall’s elections.
At least one retiring lawmaker is confident Obama will sail to reelection, with Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) predicting Monday the president would win “overwhelmingly” in 2012.
The CNN poll, conducted Feb. 12-15, has a three percent margin of error.

People are fed up with Obama’s ultra-liberal/socialist policies.
This is not rhetoric. There is ample
reason to assert that Obama espouses
the basic tenets of Marxism or Socialism.
(The only question is: what kind does he now
espouse?)
I refer you to a recent article by
Ron Kessler @Newsmax.com and radio
host Steve Malsberg’s interview with
Professor John Drew of Occidental College.
To paraphrase, Professor Drew stated
that he personally knew Barack Obama in
1980. At that time Drew was the head of
a Marxist organization at the college.
According to Drew, Barack (Barry) Obama
believed in pure Marxism.
Based on that ideology, Obama
was firmly convinced that America needed
a socialist revolution to redistribute
the wealth. Obama, according to Drew,
looked to the erstwhile Soviet Union as
the model society. (Obama thought that
people misunderstood the Soviet Union. He
was of the opinion that Soviet society was
better than capitalist America.)
Verify this information for yourselves. (It merely confirms and accounts
for the outlandish radicalism of the current
Administration, which is out of touch with
the electorate.) To understand this clearly,
bear in mind that a fundamental objective of
Marxism targets redistribution of the nation’s
wealth. This is Obama’s aim.
At the end of the interview, Professor Drew made an interesting comment:
He called upon the president to
explain to the voters whether he still held
those views and ,if not, what are the factors
that have led him to modify his ideology.
In my opinion, Obama has not changed one iota in terms of his political
ideology.
The electorate has also noticed; hence the adverse reaction.
The policies attempted by this
Administration have been tried; they do not
work. That’s why people must do their civic
duty to vote for better people in the
upcoming elections.
Our freedom is at stake.
