Nine presidential hopefuls will share the main stage in Las Vegas tonight for the first Republican debate since the attacks in France and San Bernardino, Calif. (8:30 p.m. Eastern, CNN).
The focus has shifted to national security and immigration. Ted Cruz, who has surged to a lead in Iowa, is expected to get a lot of attention, as is Donald Trump’s call to bar Muslims from entering the country.
On the Democratic nomination side, Bernie Sanders will be campaigning in New Hampshire, and Hillary Clinton will give a speech in Minnesota detailing her plan to address homegrown terrorism.
