A New York City icon, the Coney Island Cyclone, turned 89 today, CBS NEW YORK reports. To celebrate, the first 89 guests got to ride and scream for free.
The Coney Island Cyclone has been thrilling riders brave enough to hop on the wooden coaster for generations. Built in 1927, the attraction has been designated both a national and city landmark.
