South Carolina’s top elected officials are exploring whether state law allows Gov. Nikki Haley to temporarily bring down the Confederate battle flag from the Statehouse grounds.
State law says flags can be replaced “at appropriate intervals as many be necessary due to wear.” Tyler Jones, spokesman for state House Democrats, said Wednesday that provision could allow Haley to remove the flag during the viewing of Sen. Clementa Pinckney, which takes place between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
He added that a ranking House Democrat had dropped off information at Haley’s office concerning the provision on Tuesday. Haley’s spokeswoman could not be immediately reached for comment. Read more at Post and Courier.

The flag symbolizes
standing up to standing up to Washington dominance,NY,big media,etc.
It symbolizes standing up to monolithic northern capitalistic middle class cutthroat mores.
It symbolizes values of sectoral honor,sacrifice for ideals
Perhaps if there were another alternative that honorable gentlemen such Dr. Carson could have affinity for , a change might be desirable.
The confederate flag means much more than just racism that the haters OF the south or the haters in the south may wish
Even in the days of Jim Crow,Booker T. Washington and G W Carver were admired throughout much of the South.
In the meantime, hold off on the flag . It may be needed after the coming Court ruling.
