Some enterprising Taco Bell lobbyists who want Congress to help prevent franchise employees from unionizing sent 6,000 tacos to staffers. The company threw a free-food giveaway on Capitol Hill Tuesday, giving staffers all-you-can-eat fake Mexican food.
Taco Bell lobbyists did not respond to requests for comment, but franchise owners told The Intercept that congressional staffers love the annual event-and ask them about it during meetings. Read more at The Intercept.
