Are you a business owner who has been contemplating expanding your business and increasing your profits? Now is your chance. In conjunction with other local businesses, The Voice of Lakewood will be hosting a unique and informative educational seminar for business owners.

“The goal of the business seminar,” explains Mr. Ari Berkowitz, Publisher of The Voice of Lakewood, “is to connect local businesses with each other and further their education in business-related topics. There is so much we can gain by learning and doing business with each other. We are supplying that forum. “

The attendees will have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field. The featured speakers at the event include professionals from the marketing and business field, Mr. Chanina Katz and Mr. Maurice Stein.

Chanina Katz has over twenty-five years of experience in major East and West Coast advertising agencies and strategies for blue-chip clients, such as Colgate-Palmolive, RJ Reynolds, Hilton, Midas, Home Depot and others. He has won numerous national and international awards.

He will be addressing the topic of “How to Maximize the Effectiveness of Your Ads.”

Everyone knows that advertising and marketing is crucial for business, but the one comment we always get from local business owners is that they can use help. They know their business well, but advertising is not their specialty, or they just don’t have the time to do the research.

Maurice Stein, author of Turn Your Business Around by 5 p.m., is an internationally renowned success coach. From Fortune 500 companies to Brooklyn businesses, business owners constantly turn to Maurice for direction. He has spent the last twelve years serving as a coach, an adviser, a mentor and an honest friend. Maurice lives for the success of others and then leaves the limelight all to them. The topic of his lecture is “Seven Reasons Why Small Businesses Fail and What You Can Do about It.”

The seminar will be followed by a networking session. Business owners will have the opportunity to meet and network with each other. With over 200 business owners expected to attend, participants are sure to gain from the contacts and knowledge of your peers. This event will be attended by retail store owners, office managers and general business owners. Networking is a great forum to educate people about your product and services in a non-threatening sales format.

Mr. Berkowitz explains how business owners can utilize the networking sessions. “It’s important to spend a few minutes beforehand to think about what you would like to gain from the event. It can be acquiring new customers or gathering ideas on how to manage your office, staff or store. You also might just be looking for better vendors for yourself. Either way, this is a great opportunity for you. Also, be sure to check out the article in this weeks issue by Chanina Katz entitled “Five Principles You Need to Know To Succeed at Marketing.”

The Business Seminar is scheduled to take place at K’hal Zichron Yaakov, on January 21, at 6:30 pm. To register call The Voice office at 732-901-5746 or register online at www.thevoiceoflakewood.com.
