Yidden around the globe are asked to continue davening for a yeshiva bochur learning in Yerushalayim, who is still in a coma five days after breaking his leg when he fell Thursday night.
The bochur, who resides in Lakewood, NJ, learns at Yeshivas Kodshim, led by its rosh yeshiva, Rav Tzvi Kaplan. He was rushed to the hospital Friday night and physicians found that a piece of his bone went into his bloodstream and traveled to his aorta, causing a blood clot. According to one source, the doctors said that they had rarely, if ever, seen such a case.
“The bochur was placed on life support so that his body can fight the clot, as the doctors feared that he would not be able to fight it alone,” a source told Matzav.com.
There has been talk of having the bochur transferred to Kansas for treatment by a specialist there. Currently, he is still in Yerushalayim and in need of rachamei Shomayim.
All are asked to say Tehillim for habochur Mordechai Shalom ben Sarah.

I visited him today and there is a bit of improvement -KEEP DAVENING!
Refuah shleima.
There is no way that a piece of bone from the leg can get to the aorta and form a clot there.
oy. refuah sheleimah!!
Any update?
I don’t think that the source that says that the doctors had never seen this before knows what he’s talking about.
Unfortunately, this does sometimes occur after a leg fracture and the doctors have no way of anticipating it.
number 1 please let us know what type of improvement!!! We are all davening for him and his wonderful mishpacha.
