A black teenager, 19-year-old Tony Robinson, was shot to death during a confrontation with a police officer on Friday in Madison, Wisconsin, according to police.
Local NBC affiliate WMTV reported that Madison Police Chief Mike Koval said an officer responded to reports of a suspect walking in traffic and hitting pedestrians. When the officer followed the suspect to a residence, he allegedly attacked the officer, prompting the officer to fire his weapon.
Koval said the officer then performed CPR on the suspect, who later died at a hospital. The Division of Criminal Investigation will lead a probe into the shooting. Read more at NBC News.
