Cop Questioned in NYPD Corruption Probe Commits Suicide

A New York City Police officer questioned in an ongoing corruption probe has committed suicide, police report.

Inspector Michael Ameri, who headed the department’s highway unit was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in a vehicle near a Long Island golf course. It is unclear whether Ameri was a target of the corruption probe. Read more at the New York Daily News.
