Crucial 24 Hours for Rav Chaim Stein

rav-chaim-steinThe current 24 hours are crucial for Rav Chaim Stein, rosh yeshiva of Telshe Yeshiva in Cleveland and the zekan roshei yeshivos in the United States, as Rav Stein recovers from emergency surgery yesterday after¬†bleeding was found in his brain. The day after the operation, has been told by those close to the rosh yeshiva, is a critical one and all are asked to continue davening for Rav Chaim Yaakov ben Chasya Miriam l’refuah sheleimah.

The surgery took place in the late afternoon yesterday as Tehillim was recited at numerous mekomos haTorah across the globe.

Rav Stein, who is now in his high nineties, ka”h, has lived a life totally devoted to Torah and the perpetuation of Torah. A gaon in Torah and a gadol in middos, our generation is fortunate to have someone of such stature living in our very midst. As one of the few remaining links to the bygone world of pre-war Europe, Rav Chaim continues to serve as a beacon of light and inspiration to the entire Olam Hatorah and the wider frum community.

Please continue to daven for his refuah.

  1. Please daven intensely. The Rosh HaYeshiva protects all of us with his Torah and tziddkus. We desparately need Reb Chaim, shlita, to guide us to Moshiach. Few are aware of his private avodah and greatness in prayer for Klal Yisroel and his invaluable and sage advice in guiding our generation through many diffiuclt situations. The Rosh HaYeshiva was a stalwart of emunah during the war and is a true eved Hashem in every sense. His mere presence as he walked by a New Jersey state trooper at the Siyum Hashas prompted the officer to express, “This is a truly holy man.” We who merit to have the Rosh HaYeshiva in our lives are truly blessed by his presence. May Hashem have mercy on us and keep the Rosh HaYehsiva with us where he is so urgently needed.

  2. I just heard Chazak is organising a telecofrence call one at 7pm for children and a t 9pm. I dont have any more info at the moment

  3. The second teleconference is at 10:30. Please continue to daven as the matzav is still quite serious and our tefillos are desperately needed. We tend to get very worried the first time that we hear the bad news. But our sustained storming of shamayim to be koreyah the gzar din is sorely needed.
