Daf Yomi Begins Kinnim Today, Siyum Hashas at MetLife Stadium Less Than 3 Months Away

The learners of Daf Yomi are making their way ever closer to the Siyum Hashas, which  will take place, iy”H, on August 1, 2012, just a few days after Tisha B’Av.

With 2,711 pages in the Gemara, one cycle of Daf Yomi takes about 7 years, 5 months.

Daf Yomi started its current, 12th cycle on March 2, 2005.

Maseches Krisos is the seventh mesechta in Seder Kodshim.

The 12th Siyum Hashas of Daf Yomi will be held at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey.

With 92,000 seats, the recently constructed stadium is by far the largest single venue ever to host the national Torah gathering.
