gemara-learningLomdei Daf Hayomi worldwide are beginning Maseches Menachos today, having wrapped up Maseches Zevachim yesterday. The learners of Daf Yomi are making their way ever closer to the next Siyum

Hashas, which will take place, iy”H, on August 2, 2012, just a few days after Tisha B’Av.

Matzav.com has learned that Agudas Yisroel of America, which is organizing the Siyum Hashas, has reserved the massive Giants Stadium in New Jersey for the historic event.

With 2,711 pages in the Gemara, one cycle of Daf Yomi takes about 7 years, 5 months.

Daf Yomi started its current, 12th cycle on March 2, 2005.

Maseches Menachos is the second mesechta in Seder Kodshim.

  1. There have been rock concerts in the rain, football in snow at Giants Stadium. So I don’t think it’s a big deal. If it rains there can be a tent for the Rabbonim and everyone else will bring an umbrella.
