Lomdei Daf Hayomi worldwide are beginning Maseches Zevachim today, having wrapped up Maseches Horiyos – and the entire Seder Nezikin – yesterday. The learners of Daf Yomi are making their way ever closer to the next Siyum Hashas, which will take place, iy”H, on August 2, 2012, just a few days after Tisha B’Av. With 2,711 pages in the Gemara, one cycle of Daf Yomi takes about 7 years, 5 months.
Daf Yomi started its current, 12th cycle on March 2, 2005.
Maseches Zevachim is the first mesechta in Seder Kodshim.
