railYerushalayim’s light rail system serves all the city’s residents. As a result of the heavy damage to the light rail system by Palestinian rioters on Wednesday – stations smashed and set on fire, long expanses of rubber along the tracks set alight, signal and lighting poles toppled, stones between the tracks pulled up, and electricity and communication boxes set on fire – it could take months of repairs before service is restored to the Arab neighborhoods of Shuafat and Beit Hanina, and to the Jewish neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev.
