digging-on-har-habyis-to-erase-traces-of-jewish-altar-2Muslim religious authorities are concluding a clandestine eight-month dig on the Har Habayis that is intended to “erase traces of the Jewish Temple’s Altar,”  activists charge.

The digs have been taking place under the Dome of the Chain, believed to have been built over 1300 years ago. For eight months, the dome – which has a diameter of 14 meters – has been surrounded by a metal fence and black cloth, which hide whatever activity has been going on there from outside inspection. The Muslim Waqf religious authority has claimed the activity is simply a refurbishing of the structure, but refuses adamantly to let Jews or tourists near.

Jewish activists made various attempts to enter the Dome, but met with no success. In the end, the Our Temple Mount news outlet found an Arab who was willing to take photos inside the compound in return for a handsome fee (see below). The man said that it appears the Waqf has already completed its digs and is now covering the dig with dirt.

Our Temple Mount notes that according to Jewish tradition, the place where the Dome of the Chain is located is the spot upon which the mizbeaich stood in the  times of the Bais Hamikdosh. Temple activists said that the Muslim digs are intended to erase the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount.

  1. Instead of claiming ownership over, and retaining responsibility for Har Habayis when HKB”H delivered IT into our hands during the six-day war, we did the utterly rediculous and unthinkable deed of relinquishing control to the waqf YM”SH. If we don’t have a right to Har Habayis, how can we claim a right to ANY other part of the land? Why can’t we just act in our own best interests and stop worrying about what the goyim will say?

  2. It is obvious that this can only happen because Hashem is letting it happen. When the time is right Moshiach will come and everyone will know that Hashem is King of the universe. Until then it is not our concern. Whatever we do or they do makes no difference.

  3. To # 2 >>>>> how can we claim a right to ANY other part of the land?

We can’t. That’s why this country Israel has no foundation in Judaism.

  4. comment to #5>>>>> you are a rabid antisemit.

Spewing forth this ridiculous “party line” does NOT make you Frum. Aderaba. It shows your Ameratzus. Go back to Gemara Kesuvos and review the Maamer of “The Shalosh Shavuos”.

1)Check the Poskim. It is NOT NOT NOT brought L’halacha by ANYONE. It’s ah shtickel aggadita.
2)The oath was also administered to the Umos who were NOT supposed to peinig us excessively. Obviously they broke their oath, thus freeing us from ours.
3)We did not seize the land militarily. HKB”H, Who oversees all of the events of mankind delivered it into our hands through the United Nations.
4)Whatever animosity you have for the Tzionim, the Matzav in Eretz Yisrael today is infinitely better than it was during Bayis Sheni times.
    5)Think for yourself.
6)Don’t be a member of the club that believes that the more vociferous and zealous they are in voicing hatred of the medina the frummer they are.
