rav-chaim-kanievsky-wish-at-the-wall-2011[Video below.] Arutz Sheva TV met the Chai-Lifeline “Wish at the Wall 2011” trip as they visited the city of Bnei Brak. The group came to meet Maran Rav Chaim Kanievsky and Rebbetzin Batsheva Kanievsky to receive their brachos for health and well-being.

The “Wish at the Wall” trips bring to Israel children who could not get to Israel any other way.

Arutz Sheva met last year’s group at the Kosel. That was a group of children who were dealing or had dealt with cancer along with their parents.

This year’s trip is for teens coping with serious chronic, and sometimes fatal illnesses. These young men and women are determined to overcome physical limitations and experience all that Israel has to offer. They are accompanied by a parent and ChaiLifeline’s medical staff.

After they were received happily at the airport by the staff of the trip, the group set out to a large variety of locations throughout Israel including – the Old City of Yerushalayim, Masada, Ein Gedi, the Knesset, northern Israel and the city of Bnei Brak. During the tour the young boys and girls met rabbonim, soldiers, politicians and others.

  1. Chai Lifeline is a great organization. My 8 yera old grandson Reuven who is battling a rare from of bone cancer (Ewing’s Sarcoma) was given a ticket to the Super Bowl (2nd row – 20 yard line), airfare to Dallas, ground transportation (via a limo) and hotel accomodations. My hat is off to them.

  2. Chai Lifeline is a great organization . I just don’t understand why chai life line are still advertising on a web site that has been banned buy all the gedolim shlita,

  3. I know all involved are doing amazing chessed. But within that chessed, can’t the counselor who helped bring them to Rav Chayim dress in a more respectable way to greet one of the Gedolei Torah?? Is thaere a reason people should negtae kavod for Chachamim because hey are doing an enormous chessed?? Wouldn”t it be so much more beautiful and respectful if he would put on a dress shirt.. and a jacket………. or possible…. nah……. we could not expect a hat……..

  4. To: Mr. Harry Marylas :

  5. Hey Rabbaim, Im gald you posted, you manage to find fault with everything except yourself. I wouldnt want you to understand that Ari, thats the guy in the picture isn’t “Black Hatter” – so he doesnt have to dress up. Would you wear a a shtiemel to go into a chaddish rebba on shabbos? I think Reb Chaim didnt mind, see he actaully has real things on his mind.

the counselor you speak of is a tzadik who was dressed appropriately for the work he was doing throughout this monstrously echausting and physically demanding 10 day event. The sweaty t-shirt he wore to greet r’ chaim received just a big a smile had he been dressed to the nines in a fancy suit which might not have been so practical, and was greeted wearing the blood sweat and tears of kedusha, the likes of which you arent zoche to understand in your petty tipishe kop.

I just feel bad for you,why do you have to be that”one” person that one”guy”that always has to be the one that brings out the negative in the best situations,I just poshut feel bad for you. I’m not angry with you,I just feel bad for you,and if you know how special and amazing and caring the person in the picture is,you would not even think twice to open your mouth, may Hashem give you the bracha that you should be able too find the positive in the best situations and not the negative in the best situations.May Hahem not Judge you like you Judge other.
