Doctors Mulling Next Step in Rav Shteinman’s Care

Doctors caring for Maran Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman at the Intensive Care Unit at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center are conferring decide whether to transfer him to a regular ward or release him to his home.

The good news comes as the rosh yeshiva’s physician, Dr. Avrohom Weinberg, reports improvement in his general condition, following breathing difficulties and pneumonia symptoms that hospitalized Rav Shteinman on Sunday.

Doctors will decide whether to continue the current medical regimen, which has included antibiotics administered intravenously, and whether there is concern of a setback if the rosh yeshiva is sent back home.

The Torah world has closely followed with concern Rav Shteinman’s condition.

The director of Intensive Care at Maayanei Hayeshuah, Dr. Eliyahu Sorkin, said that the situation has stabilized and improved.

Rav Shteinman has been davening Shacharis kevosikin each day in his room at Maayanei Hayeshuah.

All are asked to daven for Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib ben Gittel Faiga.
