Drivers Can Expect Major Delays During Resurfacing Project On FDR Drive

New York – Every weeknight for the next four to six months, travelers in New York City should be prepared for even more delays on the FDR Drive, WPIX 11 reports.

The NYC Department of Transportation is beginning one of the largest repaving projects. From 11 p.m., until about 6 a.m., crews will mill the road and immediately replace sections of the FDR.

Work starts northbound between Montgomery Street and Houston Street. It will head uptown and then southbound.

One lane will remain open during the project, which will take months.
