muslim-brotherhoodA viral video posted by The Temple Institute in Jerusalem, which has received close to 14,000 views in 4 days, has come under attack by supporters of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, ironically not because of its message but from pure coincidence.

The video entitled: The Children are Ready, articulates the irony, that people have become entrenched in mourning for the sake of mourning, instead of contemplating the true meaning of the Tisha B’Av: the loss of the Beit HaMikdash, a universal house of prayer and peace for all nations.

The Egyptian protesters who have flooded the YouTube page with Anti-Semitic and anti-Israel slogans as well as hundreds of dislikes are not taking issue with the Holy Temple rather their fury is stemmed around a pure coincidence. At one point in the video, a character drops a copy of the Jerusalem Post on the floor and it happens to have picture of newly elected Egyptian president Morsy. Although most of the comments have no been deleted, the YouTube video suddenly received over 200 dislikes in less than an hour.

The Temple Institute have responded: “The Children are Ready was aimed as an educational tool for Jews during the nine days, to enrich their understanding of the Holy Temple as a house of peace and prayer which is truly missed. Since the release of the video four days ago we have received an outpouring of well wishes and close to 14,000 views from around the world, this sudden attack was the last thing we expected, it seems to be one big misunderstanding”

The video can be seen here.
